Away from the crowds and in a World Heritage Rainforest area, we’ll visit our Clohesy Boardwalk where you’ll view amazing plant life including giant Strangler Fig Trees. Venturing  on to the northern Tablelands, we visit a local working coffee plantation. Here we’ll learn all about the growing of coffee with a presentation and tour before a delightful morning tea of coffee (grown on site of course) and scones. Through the township of Mareeba and heading north, we’ll stop at the Mareeba Wetlands, a sanctuary for local flora, fauna and culture. Continuing north into the historic gold-fields area we’ll stop for lunch at the Palmer River Roadhouse. The vegetation changes at each stage of our journey and we get a real taste of outback as we continue on towards Cooktown to the mysterious Black Mountain National Park.
