Tinaroo Camping Grounds at Danbulla National Park and State Forest
Platypus Campground
Campground features: This joint camping and day-use area is in a hoop pine plantation that was established in 1971. Popular with anglers, this area provides an interesting view of the dam wall.
Location: 4km from the western entrance and 24km from the eastern entrance of the Danbulla forest drive.
Access: The campground can be reached by conventional vehicle or boat. Although the campground as a whole is accessible by car, it is necessary to park a short distance from campsites. It is not possible to drive onto a campsite.
Number of sites: 18 numbered sites.
Campsites are suitable for: tents, and two sites for caravans.
Campsite surface: Gravel.
Facilities: Flushing toilets, picnic tables, wood barbecues and individual fire rings.
Open fires: Allowed (except when fire bans apply) in fire rings and barbecues only.
Generators: Not permitted.

Downfall Creek camping area
Campground features: This popular camping area looks over tall pine plantations and native forests and has uninterrupted water views. Campsites are separated by native vegetation that attracts birds and butterflies. Enjoy the 2.4km regeneration walk through the forest and plantations to the Kauri Creek camping area.
Location: 7km from the western entrance and 21km from the eastern entrance of the Danbulla forest drive.
Access: The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle or boat.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and large groups.
Campsite surface: Grass.
Facilities: Flushing toilets and individual fire rings.
Open fires: Allowed (except when fire bans apply) in fire rings only.
Generators: Not permitted except between 8am and 7pm only if the noise level is less than 65dB(A) measured at a distance of 7m from the generator.

Kauri Creek camping area
Campground features: This camping area is on the edge of an inlet that is well suited for swimming or exploration by canoe. Take the 600m easy walk along the link track through the forest to the Kauri Creek day-use area.
Location: 9km from the western entrance and 19km from the eastern entrance of the Danbulla forest drive.
Access: The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle or boat.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and large groups.
Campsite surface: Grass.
Facilities: Flushing toilets, cold showers and individual fire rings.

School Point campground
Campground features: This area was the site of the Euramoo State School before the dam was constructed. The camping area is 1km from the forest drive and has a limited number of attractive sites with wonderful views of the dam, pine plantations and landscaped surrounds. Each site has a tap and barbecue.
Location: Turn off the Danbulla forest drive 16km from the western entrance, or 12km from the eastern entrance and follow the road 1km to the campground.
Access: The campground can be reached by conventional vehicle or boat.

Campsites are suitable for: camping beside your car or camper trailer.

Fong-On Bay camping area
Campground features: This large camping area is favoured by waterskier's and most of the campsites along this peninsula have water access and views. Beyond the lake, rolling hills, forests and pine plantations form a picturesque backdrop. The campground is divided into two sections - Bulmba and Gungul - and seasonal closures apply to the Gungul section.
Location: Turn off the Danbulla forest drive 16.5km from the western entrance, or 11.5km from the eastern entrance and follow the road 4.7km to the camping area.
Access: The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle or boat.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car, caravans, camper trailers, motor homes and large groups.
Campsite surface: Grass.

Curri Curri campground
Campground features: Boat accessed, bush campsites are available in this area.
Location: Campsite 2 is directly east of the public boat ramp at the Tinaroo township. The rest of the sites are along the shoreline, south of campsite 2.
